Idaho Fishing Report September 5th

2019-09-05

Magic Reservoir, Mormon Reservoir, Little Wood Reservoir, Little Camas Fishing Report

There's apparently a lot of blue green algae to navigate right now, so go carefully.

Lucky Peak Reservoir, Arrowrock Reservoir, Anderson Reservoir Fishing Report

The biggest crop of Kokanee are all headed up the rivers and tributaries right now. Bass can still be caught though.

Boise River in Town Fishing Report

It's going to get cool faster than we think, the flows should be perfect for months now, get out there and find em.

Treasure Valley Ponds Fishing Report

Give them a try for sure, warmwater fish will still be active, and stocked trout should be there all Fall.

South Fork Boise River, Middle Fork Boise River, North Fork Boise River Conditions

The South Fork below Anderson is surprisingly high still right now, but the others are very fishable. Many are going to be full of Kokanee, which means you can catch the trout on some egg patterns. You can catch the Kokanee too but it really takes some effort and most people don't think they're worth keeping at this point. Whatever you decide to do, it's worth being mindful of the spawning areas and trying to avoid walking through them.

Cascade Lake, Horsethief Reservoir, Deadwood Reservoir Conditions

Hearing fairly normal (good) news out of all of these places. Worthy places to visit but the cooler weather will come to them faster than elsewhere.

Swan Falls Reservoir, C.J. Strike Reservoir, Brownlee Reservoir Fishing Reports

We're starting to see Perch getting caught in some of these fisheries again now, and it's not real hard to catch bass but it is a tad harder to find the big ones.

Lake Lowell Fishing Report

Toxic. Algae.

Hagerman Area Fishing Report

There is some nice cool clean water out here. Great way to spend some time in the summer, and plenty of trout to keep it interesting.

More Rivers

Pretty much everything is open, and with the Summer come bugs like crickets, grasshoppers, ants, spiders. Lots of fun to go out and catch trout on the top.

Henry's Lake Fishing Report

Going to be very weedy here for a while but you can still catch fish.

Did You Promise To Share Your Reports?

Keep your promises! It's ok to keep your secret spot to yourself and you don't have to tell people how you catch fish either. Just come back and brag if nothing else.
